A Little Soap Please

Spencer may have adorable round cheeks and an innocent look about him, but he can be just as good at getting into trouble as his brothers. After all, he does have Jake for a teacher. Here he decided to get a bath without water. He put soap in his hair and was trying to rub it all over his body...at least on the parts that were not clothed. Don't let that cute smile fool you!!

Jello

This is actually one of the better messes the boys made. Someone had brought us dinner and they brought some red jello. It tasted great but for some reason the next day, Jake and Spencer decided to take the jello into Spencer's room and decorate the carpet with it. Red jello does not come out of carpet very well.

First Day of Preschool for Jake 2010

We found out that Jake has some learning and speech delays and it was recommended for him to go to Jordan Valley where they deal with kids with disabilities. I like to take a picture of the kids on their first day of school, but this was the best I got of Jake. He would rather play the piano than get his picture taken. He did not take the hat to school though. He gets to ride a bus and getting him on there is fun too. He fights me and I have to carry him onto the bus and buckle him in. He can escape out of the seatbelts on the bus. One time he was sweeping the back of the bus and another time the seatbelt got stuck around his neck and was choking him. He had to wear a harness for the rest of the year.

Snow Day

Jake and Alex had a good time with their dad gathering all the snow from our front yard and transforming it into a cave for them to play in. It is a good thing that Dad likes to play in the snow because Mom sure does not like the cold.

Sucker Please

Spencer is always a ham for the camera. I just thought these were cute pictures. And he does like his suckers!
What a messy face!!

That is the wrong end to be sucking on!Just happy to have a sucker!

Just Curious...

If anyone wonders how Jake gets things he shouldn't, here is a picture of him scaling the inside of the fridge, and this is how he is with everything. If Jake wants something, he finds a way to get it. I can say he is a very determined boy.

Finger Painting With Lotion

I guess Jake decided he needed more art work on his walls so he added some Jake originals in lotion. What a mess to clean up. Lotion does not clean off very well.
Even Woody and Buzz had some dry skin Jake thought needed to be taken care of.

Halloween 2010

Dressing up is always lots of fun. This year Alex was Snake Eyes, Jake was Batman (although he wouldn't wear the mask), and Spencer was a monkey. We went to Boo at the Zoo and then trick-or -treating. The boys got tons of candy and they had a lot of fun.

What a Mess!!

For some reason Jake decided to empty out our fridge into his bedroom. Maybe he thought he would need a snack later, I don't know. But it was a mess!! He dumped leftovers on the floor, emptied out bottles of dressing and BBQ sauce, and cracked eggs on the floor. I just hope this never happens again. I shampooed the floor twice and then we had to have a professional come as well, not only to get the stains out, but get rid of the smell too. Yuck!

Faces of Spencer

Spencer likes to pull many faces. Here I was able to capture a few as he hammed it up for the camera.

First Day of School

Alex is now in first grade. Here are pictures of his first day of school. I cannot believe how fast the time goes!

Here he is lining up to go into the school. His first grade teacher is Ms. Martin.

And here he is with two of his friends, Jacob and Gavin.

Perfect Circle

This I just thought was impressive. Jake took all the cars and put them in an almost perfect circle all on his own. I don't think I could do that!

Washington Adventure

In July 2010 we were lucky enough to be able to visit the beautiful state of Washington. My grandpa celebrated his 80th birthday so we wanted to be there to celebrate with him. It was so good to see family I haven't seen in years! After the birthday festivities, we set out for the Washington coast. We stayed in our time share there for the week. Looking out the back door, we could see the beach. Not that it is all sunny and warm, because it certainly wasn't, but it was a relaxing vacation. My mom and sister, Jenny, came too. The boys enjoyed playing on the beach and looking for shells. One night we had a fire on the beach and cooked hot dogs and made smores. We even ventured down into Oregon, where we visited the Tillamook factory for some yummy food and ice cream. Alex got sick while we were there and threw up all over. I felt bad. We also visited some light houses and Alex and I got to go inside one and up to the top. We also did a couple of hikes. The forests are amazing! They are so dense you can only walk on the paths, then you will just walk out of the forest and be on the beach. It's crazy! The one thing that was not fun was the 17 hours we spent in the car driving there. The boys did really good but it was still so long. I do hope we get to go again sometime.
